XPeng sets 2027 for the global rollout of its in-house VLA 2.0 driving stack

XPeng said its navigation-guided pilot system, NGP, would begin a global rollout in 2027, in the release reporting its July delivery figures on August 1. The system is powered by VLA 2.0, the vision-language-action model the company developed in-house.

Cumulative deliveries passed 1.2 million vehicles worldwide as of July 31. July deliveries reached 38,027, up 4 percent year on year.

The company also restated its export plans. The L03, launched in Munich on July 16, is intended to reach 65 countries and regions this year, and XPeng said it would bring five new models to Australia in the second half of 2026 alongside an expanded sales and service network.

The delivery release is a routine monthly disclosure, and the rollout commitment arrives inside it as a single sentence with no detail on markets, sequencing or the regulatory path. What makes it worth noting is that Chinese automakers have generally exported hardware first and driving software later, if at all. A dated commitment to ship the driving stack itself is a different proposition, and it runs into type-approval regimes that were not written with continuously trained models in mind.
